A DETERMINED WOMAN LOVES THE LORD

Love is an important part of any relationship. One gives it and expects to have it reciprocated. Loving God requires the same give and take. Although, there is no greater love than the genuine love of the Father; to love Him is to know Him. A determined woman possesses a sincere love for God because this is what He commands in His Word. 1 John 4:16 says, “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” Meanwhile, 1 Corinthians 13:13 says, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Loving God is easy to do when someone is determined to live in harmony with others. According to the Oxford Dictionary, “determined” is defined as having made a firm decision and being resolved not to change it. When establishing a relationship with God, a firm decision should be made to love Him unconditionally.

Love can be considered an intense feeling of deep affection. It can also be defined as a great interest and pleasure in something. However, when a woman loves God, she tries to please Him and do His will through daily studies of the Bible. When times are difficult, she stands on His Word and promises. Her love for Him gives her the strength to weather the storms of life. She has a safe place in the Word of God. When a woman loves God, her position in Him is anointed and appointed by God. (Wilson, D., 2016) A determined woman understands the importance of loving God and standing on His promises to her. Giving up is not an option because she finds comfort in the arms of Jesus in the face of challenges.

For many, it is not always easy to give love, especially if you’ve been hurt by someone you assumed loved you. Getting past the hurt is necessary in order to love God. The Bible teaches, “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you” (Luke 6:27-28). Although it may be easier said than done, the blessing in loving others is that “your reward will be great and you will be children of the Most High,” according to Luke 6:35. Demonstrating your love for the Father allows you to love others.

A determined woman who loves the Lord loves to be in His presence. Psalm 84:2 states, “My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.” Psalm 24:4 says, “One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.” Spending time with Him improves your relationship with Him.

A woman who loves the Lord also finds favor in His sight. Proverbs 3:3-4 states, “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.” Throughout the Bible, there are many ordinary women who lived extraordinary lives. Their roles were significant and their influences, decisions, and love for God have had a tremendous impact that affects the lives of many around the world today.

As you begin establishing relationship with God, communing with Him daily is imperative. He wants to give you the desires of your heart, but you must first seek Him and love on Him. The Bible says, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4) A woman who is determined loves the Lord with all her heart and soul because she understands that relationship is the key to experiencing a life of abundance through Christ.
